I don't draw males as often as I should, so I figured I'd try to draw more. For his little crocodile creature, I suppose I should have looked at a picture of a real crocodile as a reference, but sometimes it is interesting to just draw something from memory. That way you can see what you think that thing looks like- instead of making a drawing of the actual thing you are making a drawing of your idea of that thing.

I'm stuck at home with my face all swollen and lopsided (wisdom teeth out, but you can pretend I had a parasitic twin removed, that's what I'm pretending). I was trying to fall asleep but couldn't, so I made myself finish this and decided to post it since I didn't screw it up too badly.

I've been drawing people with smoking instruments, this is the second one I've finished.
Once, me and my brother were in the Phoenix Art Museum, and we were looking through the religious art section. I'm sure it is called something different, but whatever, it was religious art.
We stopped to examine a carved ivory jesus on a cross. It really was well done, not only the carving, but the way they pieced together several chunks of ivory to make it big enough.
My brother commented that the head looked like it should be on a Meerschaum pipe, and it made me laugh wildly. Even now the idea of that little jesus-in-agony face on a cheap pipe makes me snicker.
Okay, that had nothing to do with the above picture, but I felt I should include something about a pipe.
