Art trade for ~goldenstrings, who wanted something with bears, and I don't like the way it came out- I should have done better on it since it was a trade, but this is what I came up with. :/


At one point, as I was working on this picture, a tiny bug flew onto the paper. I went to brush it away gently, but at the slightest touch it exploded into a smear of bug blood along the bottom of the paper. Seriously? Why is it that when I am trying to kill something it just won't die, but when I am trying to be gentle it ends in grief and blood? At least the smear was at the bottom of the paper, a good couple inches from the drawing.

This'll be the last drawing I post for a while, I'm going to avoid DeviantArt for a bit.

I love this picture and I will show it to my boyfriend whom I nicknamed "bear" when we started to date four years ago.

The sunflowers look great and realistic because of the shape of their leaves.

And the costume of mother bear is awesome! The veil and all the belts and necklaces...

The whole picture looks like an illustration for an old Russian tale about mother bear and her two sons, who lived in a warm sunflower field, but the world around the sunflower field was a dark and cold place.

Simply great!
