I don't really like putting Mr Bearbear into the 'anthro' catagory. I think of 'anthro' as the style people draw 'furry art' in. But, he is all dressed up so he doesn't fit in with the naked animals over in the 'animal' section.
Mr Bearbear is 'anthropomorphic', and he lives in the same world as the animals of Beatrix Potter, J.J. Grandville, and Louis Wain. He may not be as well drawn as those animals, but he still lives in their world.
If you were to suggest to his face that he belongs in the same catagory as animals drawn in a *certain* cartoony style, he wouldn't hesitate to open your stomach with one swipe of his claws. Although, he would regret it later when the blood couldn't be washed out of his fine linen cuffs.

I bought a shirt the other day with a pig dressed up in much a similar fashion as you dress your animal characters. I thought it was quite cool. But it says "Osiris Shoes" and i'm afraid i just bought a trendy brand name - i would have no idea because i don't travel in those circles, but the picture reminded me of your work, so i bought it because it looked bizarre and silly and fun! And it's green!!
